With Zootopia 2 about to embark on what looks set to be a monster run at the global box office (well on its way to a $140M 5-day opening in the States after dropping the biggest launch-day for a studio movie since May 2021 in China), this nod to the GFFA couldn’t be better timed. With a trailer for The Mandalorian & Grogu attached to the film (including footage not seen outside the halls of Star Wars Celebration), here’s a poster from Japan showing the Zootopians dressed as Mando and Grogu (or should we say The Pandalorian and Growlgu).

The film is out today in the UK and here (as well as in some European, Middle Eastern, and North African countries) it’s called Zootropolis, not Zootopia (this is due to Zootopia already being registered as a trademark in the UK). In Germany the film is called Zoomania, but either way it’s looking like it’ll be bringing in a zootcase full of money.
