Electronic Labyrinth: THX-1138 4EB arrives online for free 11th December, giving fans of the Maker himself the chance to see the student film that marked his arrival and paved the way for everything we love and admire today.

Digital Spy take a closer look at the arrival, for free, on 11th December of this little seen classic, available through Facebook channel Dust.

Before he first took us to a galaxy far, far away 40 years ago, George Lucas was a mere film student with a unique vision of a dystopian society.

No, we are not talking about Star Wars but the ever-so-catchily titled Electronic Labyrinth: THX-1138 4EB, which will now premiere digitally on Facebook channel Dust.

The short film itself was Lucas’ project as a USC film student, and impressed so much that it won the National Student Film Festival’s top prize. A young filmmaker called Steven Spielberg also saw it, and was apparently blown away.

Check out the trailer for the Warner Brothers motion picture above.
