Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd December will see the BBC show the new version of Watership Down in two parts on BBC One, just as Netflix show the same show in four parts on 23rd December.

The five lead rabbits of Watership Down are: Fiver (played by Nicholas Hoult), Hazel (James McAvoy), Blackberry (Miles Jupp), Bigwig (John Boyega) and Dandelion (Daniel Rigby).

However, the cast also includes Gemma Arterton (playing Clover), Olivia Colman (Strawberry), Ben Kingsley (General Woundwort), Daniel Kaluuya (Bluebell) and Rosamund Pike (Black Rabbit of Inlé).

Other roles are being voiced by Crazy Rich Asians’ Gemma Chan, The Office’s Mackenzie Crook, Kingsmen’s Taron Egerton and The Three Musketeers’ Freddie Fox.
