The New Jedi Order was a 19-book odyssey that kicked off in 1999 with Vector Prime that told the story of the Vuuzhan Vong invasion of the Star Wars galaxy, and Crafting An Epic: The Making of the New Jedi Order is a documentary that will tell in seven parts the story of the creation of this Expanded Universe classic.

This is the first part of a seven-part documentary series taking a deep, behind-the-scenes look into the 19-book ‘New Jedi Order’ series, published between 1999-2004 by Lucasfilm and Del Rey. Using recordings gathered from over 120 interviews, spanning over 25 years, including previously lost as well as brand new material, this documentary spotlights those who made the series happen, as we voyage through the inspirations, the reactions, and the meanings of the epic ‘New Jedi Order’ story — in their own words.

Produced, edited, and curated by xezene (holonet).

Special Thanks to all those who have made this possible — especially the tireless podcasters over the years. Additional thanks to Space Engine, which was used here to capture the visuals of the universe.
