Smartly tying in with their forthcoming signing with Natalie Portman, the team at Star Wars Autograph Universe have announced an exclusive variant cover for Darth Vader #9 by artist Giuseppe Camuncoli featuring none other than Padme.

SWAU is proud to announce, for the first time ever, a SWAU exclusive Marvel Comics Darth Vader #9 variant, with exclusive cover art by renowned artist Giuseppe Camuncoli!

Giuseppe Camuncoli will be illustrating a variant cover exclusive to SWAU, featuring Padme Amidala! The variant and exclusive cover art is timed to celebrate SWAU’s exclusive, ground-breaking signing with Natalie Portman, who famously portrayed Padme in Star Wars Episodes I-III.

Camuncoli is best know for his work on Darth Vader: Dark Lord of the Sith, Amazing Spiderman, and All-Star Batman. We’re excited to see Giuseppe’s vision of Padme on the SWAU Variant for Darth Vader 9! Examples of his work can be seen in the slideshow above.

Comic collectors will be able to preorder this rare comic for their collections in the coming weeks when we have finalized cover art. Darth Vader #9 will be published January 13th, 2021. Collectors will have the option to purchase the SWAU Variant raw (ungraded, unsigned), CGC Blue Label guaranteed 9.8, or CGC Signature Series with Natalie Portman on our site as soon as the cover art is revealed.

Stay tuned as we’ll bring that exclusive cover reveal right here on Fantha Tracks as soon as the good folks at SWAU have posted it.
