While the pandemic has had a devastating effect on all of our lives, cancelling conventions, holidays, get togethers and much more it’s also had a debilitating effect on magazines and publications, pushing back release dates by many months.

Initially intended to arrive around the time of Star Wars Celebration in August, the 200th issue of Star Wars Insider magazine will arrive in the States on 26th January 2021, with a slew of great articles and 200 reasons why we love Star Wars, bringing quotes from stars of the saga far and wide.

While lockdown halted publication of the magazine, work on the official magazine didn’t, and there’s plenty of great interviews and articles coming your way over the coming weeks and months as Insider starts hitting subscribers doormats around the world.

Issue 197, released on 1st September brought a celebration of The Empire Strikes Back.

Celebrate the 40th anniversary of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back in style, with a host of exclusive interviews and fascinating features. This edition of Insider features::

Insider visits Elstree Studios, where the original Star Wars trilogy was made.
Time travel to 1980 to find out what the critics made of The Empire Strikes Back

Kenneth Colley, the actor who played Admiral Piett on how to avoid Darth Vader’s wrath.

It’s all about the Jedi in issue 199 of Star Wars Insider, with a host of features and interviews to prepare you for a new golden age of Star Wars storytelling with the launch of The High Republic this August.
