Issue 222 of Star Wars Insider arrives 31st October in the UK and November 30th in the States, and inside – as always – is a cargo hold full of awesomeness, including new Phase 3 The High Republic Fiction by Lydia Kang, a look at the third season of The Mandalorian by myself and Jay Stobie, interviews with Kevin Kiner and Tim Rose and plenty more besides.

The BIG news this issue is the return of The High Republic short fiction to Insider, and we welcome author Lydia Kang to the fold with the first part of her new run of stories – illustrated by Star Wars concept artist Jake Lunt Davies! – that kick off Phase III of the Lucasfilm Publishing initiative.

Also in this issue we speak to Admiral Ackbar himself, puppeteer Tim Rose, who performed the character in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi; there’s a fascinating interview with Star Wars: Ahsoka’s composer, Kevin Kiner, and his collaborators (and children) Sean and Deana. Continuing our celebration of the 40th anniversary of Return of the Jedi, there’s the second part of our interview with Industrial Light & Magic’s Dennis Muren and Ken Ralston, and examine how the galaxy moved on after Endor with a look at the movies, videogames, and fiction set after the destruction of the second Death Star.
