Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid.” – Han Solo, ‘Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope’

Star Wars has created iconic moments, phrases and props that have inspired generations of cosplayers. Attendees of San Diego Comic Con were able to see one of the classic props, the DL-44 Heavy Blaster wielded by everyone’s favorite smuggler Han Solo at Booth #1715.

“Based on real world weapons from the World War II era, the iconic and incredibly important, only surviving example of the original Han Solo DL-44 Heavy blaster, which first appeared in the 1977 Star Wars film Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, will be on display at RIAC booth #1715. The Han Solo Blaster will be on display under glass for fans to take photos with.

RIAC is excited to share these incredible relics with Star Wars fans from around the globe. After giving the pubic the chance to experience these items, Rock Island Auction Company plans to auction Han Solo’s Blaster and Tomb Raider Gun in its upcoming August Premier Auction. The Han Solo Star Wars DL-44 blaster is estimated to sale for $300,000 – $500,000. In 2018, Han Solo’s Jedi Blaster sold to Ripley’s Believe it or Not! for $550,000.”
