Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will see the return of orange lightsaber blades

There may not have been any orange lightsaber crystals since the days of Knights Of The Old Republic but it appears that for the first time in this current run through canon we will be seeing the orange crystals make an appearance.

Prior to the Disney takeover, orange lightsabers had popped up in the Star Wars canon quite a few times in the iconic space opera’s various spinoff materials. There were, for example, orange lightsaber crystals in the beloved Knights Of The Old Republic game, if you knew where to look for them. But when Disney made the decision to wipe the slate clean and start afresh with a new universe of spinoffs, orange lightsaber crystals were among the vast selection of tiny little things that were resultantly deleted from the canon. They had never popped up in a film or a TV show – which are the only things that Disney kept in the canon – so orange lightsabers ceased to definitively exist within the official Star Wars universe.

Now, though, orange lightsaber crystals are making a comeback. EA has included the option to have an orange lightsaber in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order – everyone that pre-orders the game will get one.
