With the main awards ceremony taking place tonight, The Mandalorian has scooped up two more Emmy Awards, bringing the number of wins up to 7; a decent haul for an expert bounty hunter, and one of those winners, composer Ludwig Goransson, posted his thanks on Twitter.
Thank you to the Academy for this honor and for all of the recognition the Mandalorian has received this Emmy season.
Thank you @Jon_Favreau and @dave_filoni for creating this groundbreaking series and for giving me the opportunity to cross genres and boundaries with the score. pic.twitter.com/RjA39oMRJl— Ludwig Goransson (@ludwiggoransson) September 20, 2020

Remember, there are more Emmys up for grabs tonight and huge congratulations to the teams involved. Just to put it into some kind of context, A New Hope won 6 Oscars from 10 nominations along with a special achievement award for Ben Burtt. As a new venture out into the wilds of the Star Wars galaxy, The Mandalorian has already matched that incredible success from 1978.
