Episode 2: That Would Be Me
Official summary: Cassian attempts to lay low on Ferrix as agents of the law close in.
Trivia
As Pegla sends the Corellian hounds away you can see two steelpeckers which were first introduced in The Force Awakens.
Pegla powers down the landing site which is seen a bit better compared to the previous episode. This wider shot reveals that there is a VCX-100 light freighter also standing there. The Ghost from Rebels is the same kind of ship. Sources claim to see a Razor Crest also standing there, and while we do see an engine that could match a general shape, we think this is not a Razor Crest as the roof slopes too much. All the way in the back you see a Lantillian Short Hauler from behind, using the same ship model that was used for Episode IX. The one completely at the front, near the entrance, is an unknown model but one that has appeared quite a few times in The Mandalorian.
In the Corporate Security Headquarters a KUP24 messenger droid rolls by.
Just like the ship that Andor used in the previous episode, the ship that Luthen Rael uses is new and of an unknown type. This ship however uses, according to the subtitles, a Fondor Droid mod. Fondor is a heavy manufacturing world with many shipyards that was first seen in the Legends continuity in the novel Han Solo at Stars’ End, which was published in 1979.
Luthen’s cane actually resembles the stunt lightsabers used in the production of the movies.
While caf is an old term that existed since the early days of Legends, and can even be bought in Galaxy’s Edge, Bix asking if there is any caf after waking up, is the first time we heard the term being used in a movie or series.
Besides the blowgun and the toy bantha, Maarva’s house also has a repurposed vintage kerosene heater. This can be seen behind her chair.
There is a bit of a retcon when Maarva tells about how the records always said that Cassian was from Fest. This was the homeworld listed in early reference books that came out around the premiere of Rogue One like the Rogue One: The Ultimate Visual Guide. As Pablo Hidalgo wrote that guide, and is involved with this series, it is likely that he also made sure that Maarva’s explanation was added to the episode to retcon this bit of information.
The pilots killed in the crash, and by the Kenari kids, have patches on their clothing with the Confederacy of Independent Systems logo.
Granik, the unknown alien species working with Xanwan, is one of the many Star Wars roles of the actor Kiran Shah who has now appeared in Return of the Jedi, all three Sequels, Rogue One and Solo.
The alien couple in the shuttle with Luthen are Aki-Akis.
When Andor walks along the junkyard at the end of the episode you can see an OI-CT, a crane walker which was first seen in Solo.
