BEWARE SPOILERS: Just like with the previous Disney Plus series, Fantha Tracks will be offering our own episode guide for your entertainment! Here we will post every reference, Easter egg, everything named and unnamed per episode and some fun trivia in-between that we have spotted.
Episode 5: The Axe Forgets
Official summary: Cassian must carefully navigate the distrust inherent in being the new member of a secret organisation.
Trivia
Syril has a breakfast consisting of the, classic well-known, Blue Milk, some cereal named crunchies (as identified in the episode’s descriptive audio) and a yellow fruit with spikes. This fruit may make you think about the meiloorun fruit, but those are bigger then what we see here.
Uncle Harlo is being set up as a new character, or at least someone that will be important to Syril Karn’s story. This is speculation: but the ISB Attendant that works with Dedra Meero so far only has a last name: Heert. Maybe this character is fully named Harlo Heert?
The blaster that Cassian took from the Corpos has Aurebesh on it: AD-616K6KA. This is probably a serial number of some kind.
During their talk, Skeen and Cassian mention Krayt Head and By the Hand. It is unknown if these are criminal organisations or maybe even names for gangs (be it in prison or somewhere else). Krayt Head is obviously named after the krayt dragon living on Tatooine.
Sipo is a new unknown planet.
In our previous episode guide we mentioned that Mon Mothma had two children, in this episode the daughter Leida shows up and is portrayed by Bronte Carmichael. The name did change slightly however, from Lieda to Leida.
Dray Milk is offered to Cassian. This means that the creatures in the corral next to the camp are called drays.
Karis Nemik mentions how the Empire has pushed to make people forget things. Another good example would be the Jedi, and how quickly they turned into a story of myth and legend for most of the people in the galaxy by the time of the Original Trilogy.
The Finkly Conference is newly mentioned, but without much context other than what the name implies.
Dedra has various small thefts that she thinks means a larger rebellion is forming. Her aide Heert lists these thefts and the planets it happened on: Kessel (Seen in The Clone Wars, Rebels and Solo), Fondor (see our Episode Guide from Episode 2), targeting consoles from Jakku (The Force Awakens), proton warheads from Base Cay (the proton torpedo is what blew up the Death Star, Base Cay is a new location) and the Steergard Starpath (introduced in this series).
Gar Tafeed is someone Perrin talked to. While this is for sure a new character, the first name Gar has been used before many times in Legends, but also as Gar Saxon. He appeared in The Clone Wars and Rebels as the Mandalorian leader of Darth Maul’s super commandos and later Imperial Governor.
In Syril’s bedroom are two statues that appear to be clone troopers.
Pepper trees are probably meant to be a new generic kind of tree farming, however they could also meant to be a deep cut reference to Bothan pepper trees. These appeared in The Air Up There, an adventure part of the Living Force Campaign of Wizards of the Coast
In Luthen Rael’s Galactic Antiquities and Objects of Interest you see behind him on the shelf what appears to be two holocrons, but also the Sankara stones from Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom.
