BEWARE SPOILERS: The Book Of Boba Fett is here and Fantha Tracks will be offering our own episode guide for your weekly entertainment. Here, we will post every reference, Easter egg and everything named and unnamed per episode along with fun trivia in-between that we have spotted.

Chapter 2: The Tribes of Tatooine

Official summary: Boba Fett faces new challengers on Tatooine.

Trivia

Before we start with our Chapter 2 episode guide, we first have a small update regarding Chapter 1. Since publishing that episode guide some new facts came to light. It turned out that the 8D-series smelter droid is indeed 8D8 from Return of the Jedi, voiced by Matt Berry and that UK2-B (who was played by performance artist Chris Bartlett) is a different character. Considering that Bartlett played protocol droids before, it can be assumed that he was the protocol droid seen in Garfa’s Sanctuary. The second candidate is the character who brought in the Gamorrean guards.

Director and executive producer Robert Rodriquez has another voice cameo in this episode, this time as Mayor Mok Shaiz.

In Sanctuary a Chadra-Fan, Snivvian and a Ranat can be seen besides returning aliens. A female Hassk is standing outside.

Boba Fett confirms that this is Mos Espa, and as Pablo commented on Twitter: The movies probably just showed the outskirts plateau.

The Wookiee that comes with the Twins is Black Krrsantan. He made his debut in the Doctor Aphra comics, in which he was shown as having received gladiator training. While we have had many things from Legends sources returning, it is the first time that something that originated from a canon source (book or a comic) can be seen in live-action.

Boba also mentions the death pits of Duur, but these are new.

Is that a Hoojib from the classic Marvel run (they debuted in 1981 in Star Wars #55) that the male Hutt twin is holding? Except for the lack of big ears, it is possible. The antenna certainly is there. Recently the Hoojibs where brought back into canon by IDW in Star Wars Adventures Annual 2021.

A Bantha, and later a Tusken, can be seen combing the dessert. They do this no doubt for the black melons (that receive a name for the first time in this episode), but it does bring to mind the Spaceballs joke also.

The creature that suddenly jumps up from the sand and gets shot by the Tuskens is a Worrt.

Camie and Fixer, along with Tosche Station, make their return having been seen originally in the deleted scenes of A New Hope. These deleted scenes have first appeared on Behind The Magic and can also be seen on The Complete Saga Blu-ray boxset. This time they are played by Mandy Kowalski (Camie) and Skyler Bible (Fixer) rather than Koo Stark and Anthony Forrest.

The biker gang Niktos are wearing black leather biker jackets. On the back you can see Aurebesh spelling out Tatooine. This can also be spotted on the speederbike that Boba and the Chieftain are riding.

The place where Boba Fett makes his gaderffii is inspired by the Ralph McQuarrie concept art piece with two Tuskens on their Banthas next to the same piece of wreckage that you see in the episode.

In contrast to what Obi-Wan said in A New Hope, and what was shown already in The Phantom Menace, these Tuskens are quite excellent marksmen.

Aboard the train that the Tuskens attack with Boba are Pykes. After appearing in the various animated series and Solo, they now appear for the first time without their masks on.

They transport Sansanna Spice, which also appeared often in The Clone Wars and originally came from the second Star Wars Annual that Marvel published in 1982.

Boba Fett starting the tribute paying rule is something that plays of from what we saw in The Mandalorian Chapter 5: The Gunslinger. There Din Djarin implores Toro Calican to pay the Tusken Raider that they encounter for their travel across the Dune Sea.

The Tusken Chieftain mentions: “Since the oceans dried”. Legends lore always had Tatooine as an ocean filled world before the seas dried up.

We also get to see even more new footage of Boba’s life on Kamino.
