In a film loaded with humour, there were very few that matched the moment in The Last Jedi when Domhnall Gleeson as General Hux, seeing a prone Kylo Ren on the ground after his confrontation with Snoke and Rey, starts to pull out his concealed blaster, only to quickly secure it as Ren begins to wake up.

While promoting his latest film A Stupid And Futile Gesture at the Sundance Film Festival, Gleeson discussed the genesis of the moment with moderator Kevin Smith, revealing that the idea for the scene was his own.
