The team at Virtual Cantina bring good news as more guests are announced. C. Andrew Nelson – former ILM, Lucasarts and Lucasfilm’s Darth Vader – is appearing at Boonta Eve Special Edition San Francisco: Creators of the Star Wars Universe on 1st August, 2024 at Ireland’s 32 in San Francisco, CA.
The Virtual Cantina Network, owners of the World’s Largest Star Wars Celebration Fan Page, are proud to announce C. Andrew Nelson will be making an appearance at Boonta Eve Special Edition San Francisco: Creators of the Star Wars Universe on 1 August, 2024 at Ireland’s 32 in San Francisco, CA.
Andrew spent six years at LucasArts Entertainment Company where he was a VFX supervisor and senior artist. Nelson’s credits at LucasArts include Star Wars: Dark Forces, Star Wars: Rebel Assault II: The Hidden Empire, , Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II, Curse of Monkey Island, Star Wars: Masters of Teräs Käsi, Star Wars: Rogue Squadron, and Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine. Following his time at LucasArts, Andrew joined ILM where he was a compositor, rotoscoper, matte painter, and texture artist. His work at ILM includes “Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace” and “Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones” amongst other films.
Andrew is most notable for having played the role of Darth Vader for Lucasfilm since 1994. His appearances as Vader include LucasArts’ Star Wars: Dark Forces and Star Wars: Rebel Assault II: The Hidden Empire games, the Special Edition of the original Star Wars trilogy, commercials, print ads, TV shows, and magazine covers.
Andrew joins fellow ILM legend Hal Hickel, John Goodson, Bill Kimberlin, Tested.com’s Kayte Sebicer, and Lauren Vogt at this event.
This event is in conjunction with the VCN’s Family Vacation last week July, 2024 starting from Los Angeles, going to Anaheim, then ending in San Francisco with a photo at the infamous Yoda Statue at Lucasfilm.
