Tony Gilroy continues the discussions of Andor season 2 – now a month in the rear view mirror – with Collider, delving into a number of topics including a deleted Bix mission and defining Luthen and Kleya’s complicated history.

Andor Season 2 came to an end a month ago today, but that doesn’t mean we’re done talking to the architect behind the critically acclaimed Star Wars series. Last week, I had the opportunity to catch up with Tony Gilroy — who I first spoke with about Andor at Star Wars Celebration in 2022 — for a bit of a post-mortem on the franchise’s impressive two-season run. He’s been on a massive press tour since the start of Season 2, so I came in armed with follow-up questions to questions he’s been asked in recent weeks, and a few of my own lingering questions about the series.

We discussed a variety of things, from Bix’s (Adria Arjona) delicious revenge arc, to the mission that never made it to the screen, whether or not anyone knew about Bix’s child with Cassian (Diego Luna), why he felt pressed to define Luthen’s (Stellan Skarsgård) relationship with Kleya (Elizabeth Dulau), the reaction from fans who shipped Cassian and Jyn (Felicity Jones) in Rogue One, and so much more.
