As I type this, the Cannes premier of Solo: A Star Wars Story has just about ended – and our intrepid Fantha Tracker Paul McQue is on the scene snapping away, so stay tuned to our social media feeds for his images – and among the first images doing the rounds was this glorious selection of images showing Thandie Newton, aka Val, wearing this custom Vivienne Westwood Couture gown.

Look closely – the images on the gown are photographs of Thandie’s own Star Wars action figure collection.

The British actress wore a custom Vivienne Westwood Couture gown, printed with images of Thandie’s personal Star Wars figurine collection.

Each character was photographed by Christian Hogstedt and was layered over the iconic Vivienne Westwood ‘Absence of Roses’ print.

The print was created especially as an homage to Thandie’s first appearance in the motion-picture franchise.
