It might have been overlooked on the big screen during a busy box office period back in May but Solo: A Star Wars Story is smashing it on home video as the second standalone holds on to the top spot for the 4th week running.

As it stands right now, the home video release of Solo has been nowhere other than in the number one position in the UK.

Meanwhile in the States, the latest published Comscore Top 20 Digital Movies Sales & Rentals for the week ending 30th September had Solo at number one and in the chart dated 7th October had the film at number four in the Top 10 Blu-ray & DVD Rentals chart. On the Top 20 Blu-ray & DVD Sellers list it slipped from number one down to number 4 as new releases Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation and Skyscraper too the top 2 slots and the 1993 Disney hit Hocus Pocus magicked up the Halloween market.

The usually up-to-date The Numbers hasn’t posted a weekly chart since the end of September, so it’s difficult to ascertain how many units have been sold so far, but as soon as those figures start to arrive we’ll be sure to post them. Currently the biggest selling blu-ray in the US is The Last Jedi with 2,989,509 units sold, just ahead of Black Panther on 2,737,736, Thor: Ragnarok on 2,344,669 and Avengers Infinity War on 2,262,721.
