Readers of the Independent in Ireland were recently polled to discover their views on the ‘Seven Wonders of Ireland‘.

And after a recent surge in tourist interest thanks to major franchises such as Game of Thrones and of course Star Wars, public votes helped them feature alongside the more traditional locations.

Skellig Michael made the final list, after featuring as the island of Ahch-To, Luke’s remote hideaway in The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi, and who knows, may even feature in The Rise of Skywalker.

Several of the Fantha Tracks team have been lucky enough to visit this beautiful location and have said how wonderful it is (and how steep the climb is to the top!)

When not focusing 100% on Star Wars, Carl can be found hitting drum-shaped things for several bands in the Midlands area including Amoeba Teen, Flying Ant Day, Sleuth, Grand Valise and BBC6Music faves The Humdrum Express. Carl features on Fantha Tracks Radio fan music podcast Desert Planet Discs with co-host Level Up Leroy.
