Mark Hamill and his Star Wars acting regrets

When you consider that the original trilogy saw Mark Hamill and his character Luke Skywalker onscreen with pretty much every major character other than Peter Cushing, his sequel trilogy experience has been somewhat different.

Appearing only with Rey on Ahch-To and R2 in a Jedi temple flashback in The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi expanded his acting partners with Kylo Ren, Threepio and a touching scene with Leia on Crait as well as Rey, Chewie, R2 and Yoda on Ahch-To. The Rise of Skywalker saw him with Rey on Ahch-To and Leia on Tatooine, his range of acting partners was somewhat limited and Hamill noted that in a tweet this week.

While his characters situation naturally isolated him – Frank Oz could have had similar feeling on Empire and Jedi – it must have been odd for Hamill to share no scenes with OT buddy Harrison Ford or more than one scene with Carrie Fisher and Anthony Daniels.
