In what would be a fascinating development, prospective Rogue Squadron director Patty Jenkins has claimed that she is still working on the project after many believed it was dead. Speaking with Ben Mankiewicz, she describes how she started a deal to return to the project after making Wonder Woman 3, meaning – in her words – she now ‘owes a draft of Star Wars‘ to Lucasfilm.

Host Ben Mankiewicz visits with director Patty Jenkins (Wonder Woman, Monster) and her mother (!!) to talk superheroes, female serial killers, and gets her take on being a female director in Hollywood. Patty surprises Ben with stories about her friendship with singer Steve Perry and she talks about that rumored Star Wars script. Plus, an impressive Super 8 for your movie list.

A fascinating prospect considering the film was once at the ‘front of the queue’. As we stand, there are four confirmed films in various states of development, so we’ll be sure to discuss on this weeks episode of Making Tracks.
