The debut season of Ahsoka has only just finished, and speaking with Entertainment Weekly Dave Filoni – Lucasfilm’s Chief Creative Officer don’t forget – reminds us just how long that first season took to come to fruition after almost 20 years at the company.

““I’m just glad to get it out there in the first place. Sometimes it’s hard to pick what actually gets made and what doesn’t, and it feels like a real privilege to just be able to create in this world and in this galaxy. That thrill has never gone away in my almost 20 years.”

With so much brought to the screen, tying in with Rebels and The Clone Wars as well as continuing the Mandoverse storylines it’s hardly surprising that people are already looking into the future for a second season of Ahsoka, and Filoni is well aware of this.

“I’ve set up several threads that can continue, but if not, I feel like, well, at least I got Ezra home, and that was really important, but there’s always a plan. I hope one day we’ll see it. It could be very cool, but it took a while to get it done, so you never know.”

“Always in motion is the future.”
