Composer Kevin Kiner and his sons Sean and Dean speak about their work on Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels and their collaborations as they bring the music of the galaxy to life.

For 12 years, Kevin Kiner has been responsible for the now iconic music of Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels. Creating music for characters like Ahsoka Tano, Ezra Bridger, Sabine Wren and so many others, has cemented the Kiner name in Star Wars history. But, it’s not just Kevin Kiner. His sons Dean and Sean, composers themselves, have also contributed to the music of Star Wars alongside their father.

Writing music for Star Wars means following in the footsteps of John Williams, something only a handful have done. It seems as though the Kiner family has that gene that allows them to take Star Wars in new and exciting places musically, while in familiar times, and make us feel like we’re listening to tracks that have been there since 1977.

Listen to Kevin, Sean and Dean talk about their introduction to music, what it’s been like to work within the world of Star Wars and so much more.
