Promoting her latest project Pencils vs Pixels, Ming-Na Wen was asked about her current status regarding her role as the ever-impressive Fennec Shand. Having first played the role in season one of The Mandalorian, she returned in the first season of The Bad Batch, The Book of Boba Fett, will return in the third season of The Bad Batch but as far as a live action return there’s no news. That said, she’s keen to be back in the uniform in live action as soon as possible now the strike has ended.

COLLIDER: I very selfishly want to ask when Fennec Shand is coming back, but I know that’s not something you can answer.

WEN: I want her to come back now!

COLLIDER: Please! Who do I have to call? Who do I have to write letters to?

WEN: Yeah, start the petition, please! I don’t know. You know, we just ended the strike, and I will be ready and excited to put on my three-layered leather outfit and be Fennec. I miss being her. Yes, very much. But right now, I’m just working on a cookbook and developing a couple of projects.

As she says, the strike is now over and so fandom can expect a quick return to work and news of forthcoming seasons to begin filtering through. There’s no Celebration in 2024, but there’s D23 on 9th – 11th August and with San Diego Comic Con and New York Comic Con plenty of opportunities for news to roll out, so stay tuned.
