Peter King: Oscar winning make-up artist

Bath was the home for many years of the late, great Richard LeParmentier and is also the home town of The Last Jedi make up artist Peter King.

Here he chats with his local paper, the Bath Chronicle about his career and the latest Star Wars epic.

“I came here for a weekend in the early 70’s and I never went back,” said the 62-year old who has worked on more than 30 Hollywood blockbuster films including Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, Nanny McPhee, Batman, King Kong, Last of the Mohicans, Indiana Jones, Aliens, and even the Bond movie Octopussy.

Can he share any secrets about the new Star Wars film?

No is the answer, but he did say there are new characters and new looks.

“I’m sworn to secrecy,” he said.
