He’s not officially in the GFFA yet, with Star Wars: Starfighter not arriving until 28th May next year and – hopefully – a teaser trailer landing before the end of 2026, but we’re very much looking forward to the arrival of Ryan Gosling into the Star Wars galaxy, and here – appearing with hosts Travis and Jason Kelce on their New Heights podcast – we can enjoy stories of his interactions with someone firmly entrenched into the fabric of the saga, his Blade Runner: 2049 co-star Harrison Ford who as Gosling emphatically underlines, isn’t built like the rest of us.

Gosling went on to detail a time on the Blade Runner 2049 set when Ford “housed like 15” Advil after punching his costar in the face.

“He punched me one time in a scene and then when they brought me ice for my face, he took the ice away, he put his fist in it, and he said, ‘I forgive you,'” Gosling explained. “And then they brought me Advil. I went to take two Advil and he took the whole thing, and he housed like 15 of them.”

“You can’t do that,” podcast cohost Travis Kelce quipped.

“He’s not like us,” Gosling replied. “He could just house half a bottle of Advil as a joke.”

When Jason asked Gosling if it’s well-known that Ford is a “just a lunatic,” the actor reiterated, “He’s not like us. He’s that guy.”

Gosling added, “That line [in Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back] where Princess Leia [Carrie Fisher] says ‘I love you.’ And he [Han Solo] goes, ‘I know’? That’s him. That’s him. He’s the real deal.”
