While Brit fans have known Simon Pegg for many years through his TV work on Big Train and the eternally brilliant Spaced, it’s very easy to forget how many great franchises he’s been a part of, who he knows and what he’s seen and here on the fantastic Inside of You podcast with Michael Rosenbaum he discusses his connections with Star Wars and his relationship with Carrie Fisher.

Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz) joins us this week for a humble and grounded conversation about the rise in his career from indie movie hits to massive blockbusters, all the while trying to mitigate the ‘black dog’ of depression following him. Simon talks about his brotherhood with Nick Frost, how they drop everything to have each others back, and the origins of Three Flavours Cornetto. We also talk about the Tom Cruise effect while filming, going from class clown to actor, and his most valuable acting advice from Jeff Bridges.

If you fancy hearing from his pal Nick Frost, watch our recent Skeleton Crew interview with him below.
