Taika Waititi on his Star Wars project: “Harness the fun from the original films”

Whoever takes on the challenge of making a TV show or a film in the sandbox that is the galaxy far, far away is taking on a monumental task, not only in terms of managing the expectations of the fandom and the broader audience, but also their own hopes for the porject, and a week after Kathleen Kennedy praised what Taika Waititi has done with his Star Wars pitch, here he gives a little more insight into the tone he’s aiming for, hoping to ‘Harness the fun from the original films‘ while presenting something fresh and unique for the saga.
