After last week’s Fan First Friday event, the team at Hasbro Pulse reached out to Star Wars fan sites to participate in a Google Hangout Q&A session, and here are the questions we asked:
Q: FANTHA TRACKS
Will the proto Boba Fett helmet be using the same mould as the original The Black Series Fett lid? You can see the sculpted weathering on the cheeks in the images you released last Friday.
A: HASBRO
Due too tooling costs, only the dome will be new, to remove the sculpted yet iconic dent in the helmet. The rest of the parts are reused, so any sculpted weathering will be present.
Q: FANTHA TRACKS
After the huge success of the Sail Barge, will you be announcing a global buy in for the next HASLAB project on launch to help get to the target quicker and allow your full global audience to support it?
A: HASBRO
We learned a lot from the first Haslab and didn’t realise the global challenges and depth of rules and regulations in different countries for the fanbacking medium. Going forward, we are more prepared and are looking to the global market more hopefully.
Q: FANTHA TRACKS
Will you be opening up a Hasbro Pulse shop for Europe?
A: HASBRO
As we learnt with the Haslab Sail Barge, there are many legal issues with shipping in Europe so although we are looking into it
Q: FANTHA TRACKS
You talked last year about cutting back on single use plastics in packaging. How’s that going, and how is that going to affect product lines and presentation moving forward?
A: HASBRO
The fan reaction was very positive for what’s right for our planet, and we may start seeing some forms for this change in packaging by the end of the year, but full line on this isn’t set to come into play till 2022.
FlyGuy, Imperial Shipyards, Jedi News and Victoria’s Cantina were also on the call, so look around for other info on other sites.
Many thanks to Hasbro and Litzky Public Relations for hosting these sessions.
