The brick-hunting block maniacs at Brickset bring news regardng the forthcoming UCS Republic Gunship, and she’s shaping up to be a beauty.

Firstly, the model has been designed by Hans Burkhard Schlömer, the creator of 75192 Millennium Falcon and 75275 A-wing Starfighter, among many other sets. The cockpit section comprises two 10x4x3 cockpit elements which are positioned end-to-end and accurately decorated, featuring a suitable dark red stripe over the gunner and printing around the edge.

Based upon this information, we can estimate the total length of the Republic Gunship at approximately 50cm to 55cm. It was suggested that a small coffee table might be needed when displaying the model, presumably because of the substantial wingspan which should roughly equal the length.

Furthermore, the design team confirmed that this vehicle will be inspired by its appearance during Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, rather than The Clone Wars or Revenge of the Sith where the vessel also appears.

Unfortunately, it was also indicated that Jedi Bob will not be included. No other information about the minifigure selection could be revealed at this time.
