Impressive numbers for LEGO are announced as they see their revenue rise by 21% in the first half of 2026, an increase driven by strong demand, brand relevance across all aspects of their product line and a huge 330 new products hitting global markets. With the 50th anniversary of Star Wars in 2027, the return of Harry Potter on TV at the end of 2026 and the arrival of LEGO SMART Play into the world of LEGO Pokemon, expect even larger increases for the second half of 2026 into 2027, bucking the global trend of toy sales which are certainly not as strong as these LEGO numbers.

The Lego Group has reported its financial results for the first half of 2026, with revenue and operating profit both growing double digits and building on a record performance in 2025. The company continued to grow significantly ahead of the global toy market, gaining market share. Consumer sales growth was driven by high levels of demand for its strong portfolio, which appeals to builders of all ages and interests, as well as excellent execution around the world.

In the first six months, revenue increased by 21% to DKK 41.9b, up from DKK 34.6b in H1 2025, driven particularly by strong momentum in the Americas, Western Europe, CEEMEA and Asia Pacific. Consumer sales grew by 22%.

Operating profit increased 22% to DKK 10.9b, driven by strong top-line performance, scale efficiencies and successful productivity initiatives. This was achieved while the company maintained significant spending on strategic initiatives. Net profit grew 32% to DKK 8.6b, against DKK 6.5b in the same period of 2025.

Cash flow from operating activities increased by 47% to DKK 8.6b, compared with DKK 5.9b in H1 2025. The company increased investments in building a new factory as well as expanding and upgrading existing facilities to DKK 4.6b against DKK 4.2b in H1 2025. It also invested DKK 1.9b to acquire 29 Lego and Legoland Discovery Centres from Merlin Entertainments, which attract around 5m visitors annually. This resulted in free cash flow of DKK 2.1b, compared to DKK 1.7b the previous year.

In the first half of 2026, the Lego Group launched over 330 new products. Best-selling themes reflected a mix of homegrown and entertainment IPs, including Lego Speed Champions, Lego Botanicals, Lego Technic, Lego Icons and Lego Star Wars.
