OK, I’m in the UK and I successfully ordered a barge last night, here’s how to do it.
Register with MyUS for a USA shipping address. Below is a copy of the message I sent them and their response :
Hello I wonder if you can help me, I want to buy something from the US to be shipped to the UK with specifications : Total length: 49.35″, Total width: 14.64″, Total height 17.01″, Total weight: 13.89 lbs. From your shipping calculator I get quotes from $57.00 USD to $150.00 USD. I suppose I’m just being over precautious but can you reassure me please this isn’t deemed to be an oversized item and so the shipping cost will be within these limits? Also I need to place a pre-order now for the item and it will be shipped to you when released in 12 months (Feb 2019). What is the best way to proceed please bearing in mind I will have to place an order with a US shipping address in the next few weeks but I won’t be actually using your service for another 12 months. Thank you for your help.

With this in mind I registered, got my address. Bunged it in Haslab and spoke to my credit card to confirm the transaction was legitimate and then paid directly from my credit card. Don’t bother trying with Paypal they detect its a non US account and prevent you going further. Obviously the specifics above are for US > UK but the procedures the same no matter where you live
