As we head into the busy month of October – Star Wars Reads, The Mandalorian and Halloween – Albin Johnson is back with more R2-KT patch news, including the return of an old favourite.

Dear creatures of the night:
The most fun season is here! Following in our nine-year tradition we asked two amazing artists to conjure up two new Halloween stories with KT for our Collectors Series:

Welcome Grand Moff Pumpkin! (#12 in the Halloween series)
Darrin Brege, popular artist and mash-up genius, dropped KT into the Peanuts universe and dressed her as his favorite Jedi: Ahsoka! Of course LInus had to join in on the fun as Maul. He’s taking it pretty hard that his dark pumpkin overlord is a no-show. I love how expressive KT is with her one eye rolling in exasperation. Gorgeous colors and perfectly captures the Peanuts Halloween Special atmosphere. Patch will be 4″ in diameter to capture all the magic.

The Whole Being Dead Thing (#13 in the Halloween series)
This is Richard Gonzalez’ first appearance in the KT family! For Halloween he cast her as the shell-shocked bride Lydia alongside the Host-with-the-Most: Beetlejuice himself! Richard asked if he could tear away from the typical round shape for this patch and we said ‘go for it!’. So he created a dynamic design with an otherworldly color palette and cool angular outline. Very high detail so we have to go with a HUGE 5″ diameter patch.

…And The Original R2-KT Halloween patch from 2011
People keep asking if we’ll offer the older patches in the collectors’ series. Well, this year we’re running the first one, released in 2011 by Thomas Spanos. Simple in concept, it is an iconic design of the KT logo in a witch’s hat that started it all. Hard to find nowadays, so here’s your chance.

Starting today we are opening pre-orders for all three patches. Since you are on the mailing list you get first dibs! Order now as many as you like until October 15th. Then we lock in the quantity ordered and it’s while supplies last.

Order information:
* Patches are $7 apiece (or $5 apiece for orders of five or more)
* Order by sending payment via PayPal to r2kt@r2kt.com
* Shipping is $1 per five patches ordered within the U.S.
* International shipping is $3 for 1 to 5 patches – please email me at r2kt@r2kt.com for a shipping quote on orders over 5 patches
* Patches will ship in late October
* All proceeds benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation
* Feel free to email me at r2kt@r2kt.com with any questions

We are so excited to add Peanuts and Beetlejuice to our KT Halloween series! We hope you all enjoy the Halloween season in good fun and safety. Be safe out there and stay in the spookiest of spirits! 🙂
