Rest in peace Palitoy Death Star designer Brian Turner

This weekend, Farthest From 26 dedicated the weekends events to designer Brian Turner, the man who famously designed the Palitoy cardboard Death Star who passed away on Friday 6th December. An integral part of countless UK Star Wars kids’ childhoods, he will be missed and here is remembered by his long-time friend, colleague and fellow Palitoy designer Bob Brechin.

Matt Bell was fortunate enough to meet Brian back in 2018 at the former Palitoy factory in Coalville, the home of Palitoy, an event you can look back at here.
