The Black Series Wishlist: Part Three

The time has come for fans to start creating their Black Series wishlists for 2026, and these are the figures you absolutely have to have. I don’t much collect the toys, but I do like to speculate. As before, most of my choices are from comics, books, Legends and long-forgotten characters, and because I’m special I’m still not done yet, so here’s our third and final batch on my Black Series wishlist.

Rotta The Hutt
I know we haven’t seen him since he was a Huttlet and the only appearance of him since then was his muscular arms held up in triumph in his Gladiatorial arena. The Mandalorian and Grogu isn’t out yet, so I’m going by both the official (and unofficial) trailers. So we have no idea what the front looks like. I’m guessing a Jabba-like face, scars and abs.

Ryan Gosling
We don’t know his name, his occupation, weapons, etc. He’s the new hero of the Starfighter movie out next year and he’s on a mission, possibly sent by Mara Jade to protect some kid. We’ve seen enough in one picture to know what kind of clothes and guess what kind of gear he might carry.

Ben Solo
While we saw plenty of Kylo Ren, we only saw a glimpse of Ben Solo, Jedi Knight, after his redemption by Rey and his father. His Jedi look (if only we had a script and movie of The Search for Ben Solo) would probably be based on the swagger of his father Han Solo and the Jedi minimalist of his uncle, Luke Skywalker. Vests galore. He would have to build a new lightsaber – would it have a crossguard again, like his dark side one did, but with a blue blade? Or would it just be normal looking?

Finn as a Jedi Knight
I can’t imagine his clothing or gear would change that much once he starts training under Rey as a Jedi. A new jacket and a new lightsaber (created by scavenging First Order gear). Perhaps by the end of the movie he would start dressing like Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Kal Skirata (Republic Commando)
A proper Mandalorian Sergeant. From the awesome Republic Commando series, back when Mandos were warriors first, with their own culture that author Karen Traviss created. I also want to see if they can recreate Ed Harris’ face, the inspiration behind some of the art (just watch The Rock). Leather jacket, Mando armor, helmet, Verpine sniper rifle, knife/chain/garotte thingee and sidearm.

Kreel as Gamemaster
Originally an undercover Stormtrooper at Grakkus The Hutt’s gladiator pit, sent by Vader himself. Red skin, white cloak and a disdain for shirts. He also carried a lightsaber. Kreel in his armor is already a figure, but not this original version.

Luke Skywalker as Clone Trooper
Yes, in the new Star Wars comics, Han, Luke and Valance dress up like Clone Wars troopers to defeat some Separatist-era battle droids. Luke would also have his yellow-bladed lightsaber at this time, too.

Sabe (Keira Knightley)
I’m not talking 12-year old Keira from Phantom Menace, but gun-toting independent movie badass older Keira from her recent movies. I want to see this image – Sabe, Imperial.

Chukka-Trok (Ewok Lumberjack)
From the second Ewok movie, I mainly remember him from the storybook tape that was put out around the same time. He was a stocky Ewok with forest armor, an axe for lumberjacking and made funny noises.

Deva Lompop (Bounty Hunter)
Former Nihl and now Bounty Hunter, bound to the Starros family. She’s unique looking even for Star Wars and has a variety of weapons. Plus, she likes to eat people (usually bad guys).

Antares Draco, Imperial Knight (Star Wars Legacy)
As you may have guessed, I am a huge fan of armor. The Legacy comics took place 100+ years in the future of Star Wars. Among them were Jedi who wore red armor and served the rightful Emperor. There were only about 50 of them, all Jedi trained in the gray side of the Force and loyal to one man. I think their leader, all scarred up and welding a lightsaber would look cool.

ARC Trooper Muzzle, head of Arodium Sword (Star Wars Insider)
First appearing in Star Wars Insider (RIP), he was a painting by Joe Corroney. He wore the top of ARC trooper armor with his Jango Fett clone face and the leather pants of a Naboo guard, surrounded by Wookies in a mercenary group Arodium Sword. This image and description alone was enough to make me remember him fondly, years later.

Michael Davis
Michael Davis
Michael F. Davis became obsessed with Star Wars after repeated viewings of The Empire Strikes Back on VHS and a 1983 viewing of Return of the Jedi in movie theaters. He also saw all the Special Editions in the theater, bought all the Shadows of the Empire tie-ins, and even took a bus trip to Maine to see The Phantom Menace. He is currently employed as a Librarian in the US but has always has his sights on a galaxy far, far, away….
