Long-time followers of Fantha Tracks, UK convention attendees and viewers of the excellent ‘Toyshop On Tour’ Youtube series will no doubt be aware of the work of our chum, Gav aka The Retro Draughtsman (and if not, then frankly shame on you!).
His renderings of the toys of yesteryear in the style of, well a draughtsman, are a big hit with us here, and although the ‘brand’ has been on hiatus for a a couple of years whilst Gav focussed on the equally brilliant ‘Cult Locations Inc’, following some recent interest in the LEGO minifigure artwork he has decided to offer some limited run prints this week. That proved such a hit , he’s now announced the minifig prints will return on the last Friday of the month with both old prints being available and yet-to-be-decided new prints being launched too.
Thank you to everyone who bought prints from me over the last 24 hours! THE RETRO DRAUGHTSMAN PAGE IS NOW CLOSED! However, It has spurred me on to do some new Minifigure drawings this year, so on the last Friday of every month, the Retro Draughtsman shop will open for the day with all new drawing releases and selections from the back catalogue – Character suggestions are always welcome
