Almost four years on from their passing just a day apart in December 2016, Billie Lourd and husband Austin Rydell have begun renovating both her mothers and grandmothers homes which were next door to each other in Beverly Hills. After the birth of her son Kingston, work has begun to change up the $18 million estate, making a fresh home in a familiar setting for Billie, Kingston and husband and dad Austen Rydell.

The details of the renovation work are not yet clear, but it is understood the iconic features of Fisher’s old home – where Lourd grew up – are likely to be preserved.

Exclusive pictures show construction underway on the roof of the home while work is being done on the grounds and driveway.

She plans to extend and update the properties, combining them more seamlessly.

Fisher’s famous aviary and an old water fountain in the original gardens has been protected from the new construction.

Lourd’s childhood home is full of her mother’s mismatched vintage furniture and collectibles, including a huge stained-glass window of Lourd in the living room made for Fisher by a friend in England.

The house her mother lived in has an incredible history, much of which is being protected during the renovation process.
