CCXP is not a place; it happens wherever we want. It is precisely by understanding the festival in this way that the organization announces CCXP Worlds: A Journey of Hope taking place on December 4th, 5th and 6th this year. In 2020, hope and the best pop culture content will reach the homes of fans from all over the world from an online and global version of the event.
The festival will transport the main areas of its physical version to the digital environment: Thunder Auditorium, Artists’ Alley, Game Arena, Creators & Cosplay Universe, the study area gains its digital version, the Hollywood Strip, and the stores saw the Market Place. The famous glass studio, which brings together the highlights of the program, will also be present with the Omelete Stage. And in keeping with the tradition of all editions, CCXP is already opening its ad season bringing the first confirmed comic artists, in addition to information about this year’s official poster.
CCXP Worlds will take place through five simultaneous streams. To have access to most of the festival’s contents, you only need to fill out a registration form. Those who want a complete and more interactive experience, have access to the full content of all the streams, make a point of receiving their physical credential and have licensed products, can purchase the Digital Experience, Home Experience and Epic Experience packages. Ticket sales start on September 15th, at http://www.ccxp.com.br.
“We really believe that when you share your happiness with someone who likes the same thing as you, your feeling of happiness increases. In a year as difficult as 2020, it is a joy to be able to contribute to this collective joy on a global scale, bringing CCXP’s epic experience to pop culture fan houses around the planet. There are several challenges to transport all the public’s energy to the virtual environment, but we are committed to creating the world of all worlds ”, says Pierre Mantovani, CEO of CCXP.
The CCXP Worlds platform will be explored from an interactive map on which the public can navigate between spaces and decide which content they want to follow. In addition to accessing the festival areas, it will be possible to access virtual stores to purchase products and interact with other fans from around the world. Gradually, new areas will be unblocked and new announcements will be made until December.
Everything that makes CCXP the CCXP
CCXP has already consolidated itself as a stage for the promotion and dissemination of the main worldwide launches. This year will be no different and the festival will feature exclusive content from the main studios in the entertainment market. If in the physical version all this is shown on the largest screen in Latin America, this year the Thunder Arena – the most disputed square meter of the CCXP – will have no barriers, no limits. Through streaming, fans from all over the world will be able to follow conversations with Hollywood celebrities, announcements, unpublished trailers, premieres and panels about the biggest productions of cinema and streaming platforms.
Another space dear to the public and which will also be part of CCXP Worlds is Artists’ Valley. The heart of the festival will be transported directly to the fans’ home from virtual tables, which will allow contact with artists in groups or individually to meet and buy original art, which will be sent to the client’s home. It will also be possible to personalize the experience to get to know a little more about the universe of a particular comic artist, participate in masterclasses, workshops and follow artist battles. There will also be other content that will start airing long before the CCXP. Registration for those wishing to exhibit this year will open on September 15, via the festival’s website, and the selection criteria will be released soon.
If at CCXP Creators is the internet outside the internet, at CCXP Worlds the Creators Universe goes beyond the internet. The broadcast will make a crossover of online and offline content creators, with a schedule that will include live shows and concerts, as well as masterclasses. Creators’ streaming will share space with the Cosplay Universe, which also starts long before the CCXP and will give a boost with ideas for those who want to assemble their own costume for the festival. At Cosplay Academy, the public will have access to workshops and international guests. The already traditional Cosplay Contest has a guaranteed presence and will have a dynamic that will include public participation, foreign judges, awards and the crowning of the greatest cosplayers of all worlds.
And with so much going on at the same time, it will even be difficult to choose which broadcast to follow. But the team from the biggest pop culture portal in the country will be present and will take the best moments of CCXP to an endless Friday live. The Omelete Stage will be the virtual space to follow interviews with Hollywood celebrities, backstage of the biggest productions, verdicts in real time, unpublished Omelists and a lot of interaction with fans.
CCXP Worlds will also bring the geek marketplace to the internet, with exclusive brands and products that fans love to collect.
The encounter with celebrities gains its virtual version. Fans will be able to choose between a few minutes with their favorite actor at Meet & Greet or request a video with a personalized greeting.
It’s been a tradition since 2014: CCXP’s first ads are for comic book artists. This year, the festival announces at once the 14 guests who will participate in activities that will be announced soon. Among those confirmed are Emil Ferris, the most awarded cartoonist of 2018 and the author of ‘My Favorite Thing is a Monster’, and Dave Gibbons, author of the classic ‘Watchmen’. In addition to the work that inspired the HBO series with 26 Emmy 2020 nominations, the artist is also the designer of ‘Kingsman: The Secret Service’, a series written by Mark Millar and adapted for the cinema with two films released and a third already announced .
Completing the list of the first confirmed for CCXP Worlds is the comic artist Scott Snyder (Batman and Justice League), Kevin Eastman (Ninja Turtle), Marcelo D’Salete (Angola Janga and Cumbe), Andrea ‘Casty’ Castellan (Mickey and Uncle Scrooge) ), Margaux Motin (plate tectonics), Trina Robbins (The legend of Wonder Woman), Jeff Lemire (Gideon Falls and Green Arrow), Gerry Conway (Spider-Man and Batman: The animated series), Garth Ennis (The Boys and Punisher), Jill Thompson (Sandman and Wonder Woman), Leandro Fernandez (The Old Guard) and Fabien Toulmé (Hakim’s Odyssey).
CCXP Worlds: Journey of Hope will offer free access to the platform, from the Free ticket, in which the user will complete a registration to follow the partial content of the Thunder Arena, in addition to everything that happens at the Omelete Stage, Artists’ Valley and Creators Universe. The Digital Experience (R$ 35.00 Brazilian Real) will give full access to the main broadcasts of the festival and the fan will also gain a virtual credential by email and features and interactions, such as fancam, access to workshops and masterclasses, in addition to pre-sales of CCXP21.
