FACTS, the Belgian Comic Con, returns to the Flanders Expo Ghent for FACTS Spring 2019 on 6th and 7th April 2019, and joining the event is the star of Rogue One, Doctor Strange and Casino Royale.

Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen has proven to be an enrichment for not only the Danish cinematic scene, but also for international movie & TV history as a whole. In Denmark, Mads Mikkelsen has been called ‘The face of the resurgent Danish cinema’, and in international terms, he has already reached superstar status.

Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Star Wars will instantly recognise him as villain Kaecilius in Marvel’s blockbuster movie Doctor Strange and as Death Star scientist Galen Erso in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Both of those movies released in 2016, so it’s safe to say that it was a ‘golden year’ for Mads Mikkelsen and movie fans in general.

Mads Mikkelsen will also forever be remembered as Le Chiffre in Casino Royale, the main villain in this James Bond movie. Because of this man’s icy bluffs and spine-chilling stares, poker nights will never be the same again.

But even more spine-chilling than that was Mads Mikkelsen’s portrayal of Dr. Hannibal Lecter in the recent TV series Hannibal. Together with ex-FACTS guest Gillian Anderson, he managed to give the audience an uncomfortable mix of dread and respect for the serial killer. A great achievement indeed!

His list of epic roles and performances doesn’t stop there. He was Draco in the 2010 film Clash of the Titans, Lucas in the excellent 2012 thriller The Hunt, Tristan in Jerry Bruckheimer’s version of King Arthur, and a star in a plethora of other series and movies since 1996.

Mads is the first guest announced for the show and we’ll be sure to bring any further Star Wars related info to the site.
