It certainly doesn’t feel like seven years ago, but on 31st October 2017 at 1.24am Fantha Tracks launched and 20,535 site posts, 565 podcasts and 1100 videos later we’re celebrating seven years of bringing you Star Wars news in a single file, 24/7, 365. During that time a lot of things have changed. On the big screen we’ve welcomed Solo: A Star Wars Story, The Rise of Skywalker and with it the conclusion of the Skywalker Saga and adventured with Indiana Jones for the final time, while the small screen has seen the return of The Clone Wars, Star Wars: Resistance, The Bad Batch, two seasons of Visions, Tales of The Jedi and The Sith represent animation and three season of The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Andor, Ahsoka, The Acolyte and Willow bring us live action adventures.
We’ve attended three Star Wars Celebrations in Chicago, Anaheim and London, travelled to New York for Comic Con in 2018, 2019, 2022 and 2023, journeyed to Finse twice to visit the Hoth filming locations of The Empire Strikes Back as well as numerous film and TV locations around the world including the Dolomites from Solo, Tunisia and Death Valley. All of that plus a global pandemic and about a dozen different Prime Ministers; no wonder it feels like it’s gone by so fast.
It may well have been seven very busy years, but with everything zooming up on the horizon – Celebration Japan, Andor season 2, The Mandalorian & Grogu, Ahsoka season 2, New Jedi Order and Dawn of the Jedi films and the 50th anniversary in 2027 – we’ve got plenty of work to do.
