He’s waggled the finger-point of doom, landed airplanes on golf course and knocked out disrespectful journalists in bars but the issue of climate change is certainly not something to be laughed at, not by Harrison Ford anyway. The veteran actor will be travelling to Dubai this week to deliver a warning on the imminent perils of climate change in what could be viewed quite literally as one of his most important performances.

Ahead of the summit, which begins tomorrow, Ford posted a video highlighting the issues we all face.

“Fresh water shortages, higher greenhouse gas emissions, unprecedented fires, worldwide destruction. Is this the world we want?

“Our planet, the only home we’ve got, is suffering. This is the bare truth. This is our reality. It’s up to you and me to act, now, to face the greatest moral crisis of our time. To take action. It is time to make a difference. It affects you.”
