Julian Foddy, an ILM-er who worked on Rogue One among other projects, is heading to The Others, 6 Manor Road, Stoke Newington, in North London, N16 5SA to take part in a chat about his career as a maker of movie magic. Tickets are £16.00, which we can tell you from experience is a steal.

Julian Foddy’s work as a visual effects supervisor for Industrial Light and Magic includes TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT and ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY. His career in visual effects began in 2004 after seeking a change of direction from being a successful DJ and music producer.

Work experience at Double Negative led to becoming a digital and 3D artist, then CG, Computer Graphics, supervisor for the company on films such as THE DARK KNIGHT, GREEN ZONE and FAST & FURIOUS 6. Creating a CG lead character for sci-fi comedy PAUL gained him a Visual Effects Society nomination.

Julian’s work at Industrial Light and Magic, which he joined in 2015, included being an onset VFX supervisor on ROGUE ONE and working on other sci-fi films.
