Soundtrack Fest have posted a review of the two recent Michael Giacchino concerts with the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra at the National Concert Hall in Dublin, and our competition winner @coconut2674 was there to see everything from the two evenings.

Soundtrack Fest looked at the music from the night.

He conducted the music of The Incredibles 2, Medal of Honor, Tomorrowland, Jupiter Ascending, War of the Planet of the Apes, Jurassic World, Up, Voyage (NASA 60th Anniversary), LOST, Ratatouille, Cloverfield, and Rogue One, with Aedín Gormley doing a great job introducing the pieces. The concert cleverly used visuals to illustrate the suites, sometimes with a slideshow of images and sometimes with videos that helped to get into context. A nice visual reinforcement, supported by some slight light effects, that didn’t saturate the audience.

In addition to the marvellous music, Giacchino came on towards the end and was inducted into the 501st by the 501st Legion Ireland Garrison.

Congratulations to Michael, and again to @coconut2674 for winning those 2 tickets in our competition.
