Getting a larger boarding party in for Rise of the Resistance at Galaxy’s Edge just became a tad easier as Disney make some subtle changes to the boarding requirements.

Disney has made a small update that could actually be quite useful for guests who have larger parties or perhaps have issues creating a party when grabbing a boarding group for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.

Starting one hour before boarding groups open, guests can open up the My Disney Experience app and confirm the party that they want to get a Rise of the Resistance boarding group for.

As a refresher, you can get to the virtual queue screen by clicking the three lines in the bottom left of the home screen, and then clicking on “Virtual Queues”. From there, you will see a “Join Virtual Queue” button.

If you click “Join Virtual Queue” within an hour of the virtual queue going live, you’ll now be presented with the option to confirm your party. This gives you extra time to ensure that everyone in your party qualifies for a boarding group. Once you have confirmed your party, you can either pull to refresh at 7am, or click the refresh button at the bottom of the screen.

This means you don’t have to confirm the boarding party before 6.00am – quite the imposition for a vacation – you can now modify any time before 7.00am, still early but much better.
