From today and for the next six weeks into March, Oga’s Cantina at Batuu West in Disneyland, Anaheim is closed for refurbishment which will see the popular cantina timeline shifted to reflect the coming changes across the park that will see most of Galaxy’s Edge (apart from the area surrounding Rise of the Resistance) change from the sequel trilogy era between The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker to around the time of Return of the Jedi.

Oga’s Cantina will be closed for refurbishment into early March but an exact reopening date has not been announced.

The timeline update to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will have half the land set during the original trilogy and the other half still set during the sequel trilogy. This will affect the backstory of Oga’s Cantina, although Oga will still be the proprietor and DJ R-3X will still be spinning tunes.

Disney said there would be aesthetic changes throughout Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and that could include Oga’s Cantina.
