The sith certainly had their revenge today after last nights dramatic lightning strike that hit Galaxy’s Edge led to Rise of the Resistance being closed today.

Thankfully no one was hurt, other than a blown generator which will hopefully be fixed soon to get Rise and other dies back online.

Rumors are circulating that the lightning bolt may have taken out some electrical units pertinent to the ride, given that the bolt struck somewhere in the Resistance Forest by the Rise of the Resistance attraction. However, none of this is confirmed, and other nearby attractions, like Muppet*Vision 3D are also temporarily closed for the day. Disney has an extensive lightning rod system in place throughout all of its parks that is designed to sustain extreme weather conditions.
