After her spectacular debut at the Her Universe Fashion Show, Nina had a special panel, the following day hosted by her friend Ashley Eckstein. Ashley arrived at the panel in a special sweatsuit with the words HYPE FRIEND across the shirt and rainbow sleeves on the sides of the top and bottoms. She also wore an amazing rainbow hair extension.

Ashley’s moderator style made the whole panel feel like a relaxed conversation between friends, an invitation to learn more about Nina’s past and her upcoming book. Nina talked a bit about her time on Rupal’s Drag Race and how throughout the series she found herself revealing personal experiences with other cast members that she later realized would be shared with the world at large.

When Nina’s time with Rupal came to an end she was offered many deals, but when asked what she really wanted to pursue she pitched the idea the lead to her book The You Kind of Kind. Nina shared how the book was inspired by her personal experiences as a child and to inspire readers young and old to find their inner joy to share with the world.

Illustrator Hayden Evans was also present at the panel and he described meeting Nina for the first time and shared some of the finished art pages of the book. The audience was also treated to Nina reading from the book to the audience. The book has a beautiful message about finding your inner joy and light as you move through your day. The book is available for pre-orders right now on NinaWest.com.
