Later this week San Diego Comic Con returns after a three-year hiatus. Star Wars has always had a strong presence at the convention, and this year is no exception. Here are some things to look for with items you might want to add to your shopping list.
The Return of the Star Wars Room
Friday has officially been Star Wars Day at SDCC for quite some time, and if you’re at the convention, Room 7AB is going to be the place to be for all the Friday reveals. If you’re at home, check the #SDCC and #StarWars tags for info and our very own Fantha Tracks hashtag #FTSDCC.
Friday July 22nd will feature panels from Lucasfilm Publishing, Hasbro, Star Wars Trading Cards, 501st Legion and the always entertaining Legal Geeks presenting a panel on law and the Star Wars underworld.
Shopping
SDCC is known for its exclusives, and the Lucasfilm Pavilion has the majority of the shops and exclusives all together in a grouping of booths under #2913. Entertainment Earth has pre-orders available for the majority of their exclusives online right now. For fans at the show there is an opportunity to meet Emily Swallow who portrays The Armorer on The Mandalorian.
Funko has an exclusive flocked Krrsantan at their booth #4945 for those lucky few to win access to the booth in the exclusive’s lottery. Fans at home (and con goers that didn’t win) can pick up a non-exclusive version of the figure at Gamestop at 6:30 am PST on 7/21
Hasbro is also bringing two new exclusives to the convention so keep an eye on the Pulse Website during the convention for potential limited drops of the figures on their site.
Hallmark PopMinded has the droid you’re looking for this year with a two-pack Gonk and mouse droid. These are going to be a challenge to get, so hopefully the Force is with you!
