25th January 2026 from 5.00pm – 7.00pm at the Petaluma Historical Library and Museum will see Rancho Obi-Wan founder Steve Sansweet and Lucasfilm’s Pete Vilmur sit down to discuss toys in ‘Toy Stories: A Conversation with Master Collectors‘, a unique opportunity to hear two veteran collectors relay their knowledge, from preservation to the history of collecting.

This special panel discussion will feature a local collector of antique mechanical toy marvels; Steve Sansweet, founder of Petaluma’s Rancho Obi-Wan, home to the world’s largest Star Wars memorabilia collection; and collector and Lucasfilm historian Pete Vilmur.

Together, they’ll explore what it means to collect, preserve, and share toys from different eras—and how these objects shape our understanding of history, creativity, and imagination.
