Nine more shows are announced for Star Wars Podcast Day 2026, which returns for the sixth time to celebrate the arrival of the very first recognised Star Wars podcast, Jedi Talk, which launched back on 7th February 1999, almost 27 years ago. Today the number of shows announced swells to 63, and in that group are some friends including Star Wars Sessions.

@starwarspodday and over 25 podcasters announce STAR WARS PODCAST DAY 2026, an unofficial celebration of the Star Wars fan audio community. Every year our event brings together approximately 100 shows, sharing their love of fan made audio with other Star Wars fans, as well as the wider podcast listening audience. Think of it as our own little version of May the Fourth.

It’s been just over 20 years since the first Fantha-related podcast launched – Setnin Radio, which arrived on Lightsabre back on 5th October 2005, hosted by Mark Newbold and Louis Turfrey – so here at Fantha we’re keen to highlight and celebrate these special occasions in the realms of Star Wars online fandom, so as we have since 2022 we’ll be a part of the days event. Remember, it’s a huge galaxy, and there’s always room for more than one podcast in your podcatcher, so dive into the growing roster of shows that Star Wars Podcast Day 2026 are bringing together (share using the hashtag #SWPD2026) and stay tuned as more shows join in.
